The South East Field Days are a family friendly event.
Plenty for the entire family bring everyone and have a fantastic day exploring our agriculture equipment and displays. Meet up for a delicious lunch at one of our many food courts available on site. Don’t forget our two huge general interest pavilions where you will find all sorts of things to tempt you from craft, clothing, wine tasting and speciality food.
In 2023 we introduced the Ag Tech center designed to showcase the latest in technology and innovations specific to the agriculture industry. Come and talk to the experts.
Returning again is Burrungule Park Laser Tag, Circus Elements, Addicted to Mud and the Old MacDonald’s Traveling Farm. New to 2024 is TC Trickz Motorbike Stunt Show, an exciting and thrilling motorbike stunt display.
2024 will see an incredible entertainment line up for all patrons both young and old. Further details will be released closer to the event!
Cindy Bunt is the owner and creative force behind The Post and Rail, a Cooking, Gardening and Art school situated in Compton.
Friday 15th March – Yakka Pavilion
11am – Preserving the harvest demonstration, using the fowlers method. Dill pickled Zucchini (tastes like Gherkins) Fruit in Vanilla Syrup. Learn how to get started in preserving without fancy gadgets.
1pm – Making passata from scratch with just 2 ingredients. What else can you preserve in a jar. Garden pickles, Champagne Figs in Vanilla Syrup.
3pm – Cooking with seasonal produce. Making a pesto from scratch from garden herbs. 15 Second Aioli.
Saturday 16th March – Yakka Pavilion
10:30am – Jam and chutney creation. Quicker and easier ways to preserve. Capsicum and Chilli Jam, a seasonal Jam.
1:30pm – Cooking using seasonal produce. Pasta from scratch and a seasonal garden sauce.
3pm – Quick and delicious naan bread. 2 ingredients and 5 minutes. Pesto from scratch. Preserved Lemon.
Friday 15th March (AgTech Centre)
10:30am – Evolution of the Limestone Coast and its living skin – soil! (targeted at the high school mob)
2pm – Current issues and opportunities for Limestone Coast Farmers and the latest research.
Saturday 16th March (AgTech Centre)
11am –Evolution of the Limestone Coast and its living skin – soil!

A special guest performer at our Field Days this year is an Australian country music rising star. Angela Easson is a vibrant, up-and-coming singer/songwriter. Blitzing Australia’s modern country scene with her hard-earned reputation for mixing infectious melodies with her intensely personal lyrics, Angela is rightly regarded as a rising star.
Returning for 2024 is the ever popular South Australian Police Jazz Band. Sit back and enjoy the upbeat tempo of this great band.
This freestyle entertainment show is an, all-weather, action-packed motorcycle and bicycle trials stunt show delivered with a comical twist. 3 action packed shows per day will keep patrons young and old entertained.
Meet Scott and be entertained by this circus performer extraordinaire! From stilt walking, unicycle riding and juggling, he will be sure to have the crowds entertained.
Old Macdonald’s Travelling Farms South Australia bring a variety of baby farm animals to you, including lambs, chickens, rabbits, goats and lots more. A fun and interactive animal experience for young children with food available to feed.

Laser tag is fun and exciting and contrary to what you may think not just for children alone. Stay fit and have fun in our purpose-built arena.
Always a favourite and organised by our local Lucindale Area School. A fun hunt for children to explore what’s on offer from the many exhibitors onsite.
The South Australia Yard Dog Association has a long affiliation with the South East Field Days. The first Yard Dog trial to be held in South Australia was at Lucindale over 40 years ago.
The South East Field Days has hosted numerous South Australia Yard Dog Championships. It is a very popular trial amongst yard dog triallers across Australia with two permanent trial courses.
Trialling starts on Thursday and continues through Friday and Saturday at Kelpie Korner. There is always plenty of seating and shaded areas for observing the dogs and handlers work through their courses.
